There is an engine in the space between us. If we can find it, then we can start it in the time it takes to spell 'oh hi.' And since there are as many kinds of love as there are people to wield it, why not stop and squeeze your eyes shut and feel your way instead? If you take a step forward, the ground will be there beneath you. You can feel it. Now open your eyes. You can see your own reflection, but that doesn't mean you know anything. The real trick is to see everyone else staring back at you. This is a power. This is a friend. It gives off heat, and everyone knows heat rises. You can feel it. An engine and a dream and a flame and a seam in the fabric. A handshake.
